Celebrating Black Cyclist with technology immersive and interactive storytelling
Times Community Services and The Baltimore Times, in partnership with local technology firms, presented an immersive exhibition honoring a century of Black cycling achievements. By harnessing AI, AR, and VR, the interactive exhibition brought to life the trailblazing contributions of Black cyclists and the pivotal roles they played in breaking barriers within the sport.
Through interactive displays and cutting-edge technology, visitors were fully immersed in powerful stories that fostered pride, appreciation, and inspiration, welcoming audiences of all backgrounds into a more inclusive cycling culture. In partnership with the Sports & Entertainment Corporation of Maryland and held during the Maryland Cycling Classic (September 1–3, 2023), America’s premier professional cycling race, this exhibition showcased an often-overlooked chapter of sporting history.
